this is a mixed vase as well. It is glazed clear with green sponged onto it. The green is also solid in the middle. This contrast the red clay while going with the seamix clay. It has been fun to experiment with mixing clay.
this is a vase made from seamix and red clay. The handles are made from seamix and the added balls of clay are made from red clay. The inside of this project is glazed blue, and the outside clear. This demonstrates how the clay is mixed from seamix to red, while still having a solid glaze color in the middle
this is a simple seamix bowl, which is glazed green and white. With all the big projects lately I wanted to make a simple bowl in order to experiment with drilling greens. This project is one of my favorite bowls because the glaze turned out really well.
this project is three bowls put together. All three bowls were thrown with seamix clay, then afterwards brown clay was added to show a clash between the two clays. Lately I have been experimenting with seamix and red/brown mixtures and seeing what different forms I can make. I then glazed this piece clear and blue in order to contrast the white and brown.
this bowl has a large outward for that was wheel altered for effect. The main body of this piece is seamix but there is red mixed into this piece. The glaze is a mix of white, green, and blue experimentation.
this is a large vase thrown on the wheel from 2 cylinders. The bottom of the vase is red clay and the top is seamix, then red and seamix are mixed throughout. Then this project was glazed clear with forest green dripping from the top. This way the mixed clay still shows and the green and the red contrast.
